THERE IS STILL A LOT OF LOVE IN THE WORLD TODAY.

God’s love for people has never changed, and He has sent millions of His loving Children into our society.

Look at YOUR WORLD; not at a screen but at your own personal experiences. In this year have you personally experienced more love or more hatred toward you? Have you had more blessings or more curses? Have you interacted with more friends or more enemies? Of all the people you have encountered this year have most of them been fundamentally good folk or wicked folk?

And what about you? How much love and care have you shared this year? How much harm have you deliberately done to others? Is life really so horrible?

Don’t buy into the popular lie that our society is full of devils and our times are so bad that we’re living just short of apocalyptic tribulation. We are Christians. We are Americans. No one in history has had a better life.

With Thanksgiving approaching, let’s get an early start on keeping the Lord’s commandment — “…in everything give thanks…”.

I’ll start.

I thank God for the massive outpouring of love I have received as of late from my Church Family during Pastor Appreciation Month.

I thank God for the massive outpouring of love and support I have received concerning the loss of my father.

I thank Him for my family and the Lord’s answering of prayers, for jobs all around, for people who need me, and a basically safe society to live in.

And in case I haven’t told you lately, I thank God for you.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you (Philippians 1:3)

Now it’s your turn.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things.(Philippians 4:8)

God Bless,

Johnny
